Greetings WCW Universe, This is Biff Banter with your look at this week’s WCW Power 10!
1.The Ministry of Darkness (Formerly known As DX) (Undertaker, Kane, Randy Orton)
Team DX, now known as the Ministry of Darkness, was victorious over Team WCW at Survivor Series, with a couple of late minute changes and what seem like constant bickering leading up to the match, Team WCW couldn’t function as a cohesive unit to defend the company against the tyrannical tandem of Kane, Randy Orton and The Undertaker..
2. World Heavyweight Champion, Edge
With odds stacked against him in the triple threat, Edge defied the odds once again by defeating a hungry John Morrison and a tenacious Kane to defend his World heavyweight Championship! Who will be the next to challenge the Rated R Champion?
3. Intercontinental Champion, John Cena & Daniel Bryan
John Cena proved again why he is one of the top performers in the company by derailing the unstoppable locomotive that is Sheamus. Although he won that hard fought contest, Cena also competed in two more matches at the Survivor Series, retaining his Tag team title with Daniel Bryan , and becoming a last minute addition to Team wCw when Jeff Hardy was unable to be found.
4. The Game, Triple H
The Game may have been on the losing side of the big main event but the “Cerebral Assassin” vows that we have not heard the end of “The Game”! Following Survivor Series , he is in the running for the number one contendership for The wCw Championship. What is the “King of Kings” planning? He assures us we are in for a few surprises in the coming weeks.
5. United States Champion, Brock Lesnar
Returning in his usual monstrous form, the former ultimate fighter defeated 3 other superstars to claim his first wCw title! He did not do so without some serious competition from Vader, Randy Orton and CM Punk. Punk put up a real fight in the end but Lesnar proved too powerful for the Straight Edge Superstar to handle.
6. Randy Orton
Randy’s reign as the US Champion has ended but this might just be a temporary setback for one of the more dominant figures in the wCw. With the emergence of the Ministry of Darkness, Orton can ride the wave of the new stable to challenge Edge for the World Heavyweight Title. Only time will tell.
7. Kane
The Big Red Monster was unsuccessful in his attempt to steal the wCw Championship at Survivor Series but , he helped lead his team , the newly renamed Ministry of Darkness to a victory that has cast a shadow over wCw's future.
8. Sheamus
Sheamus couldn’t wrangle the the intercontenantal title from Cena but the “Great White” is still very determined to make an impact in wCw sooner than later. He plans on challenging for the United States Championship this week on SMACKdown!!
9. CM Punk
With an impressive showing in the US Title Match, the “Best in the World” showed us that he is what he says he is. He may have been the last eliminated but the amount of heart and testicular fortitude he shown the wCw universe will , more than certainly, grant him more championship matches in the future.
10. The Rock
Where was the Rock at the Survivor Series? The captain of Team wCw was no where to be found! Did he turn his back on the company he swore to protect or did the MoD exact some kind of devious plot to help guarantee them the victory?
Thank You to KEVIN NASH who worked with me on this week's edition.
