Heath Slater and Brock Lesnar vs. CM Punk and Randy Orton Empty
PostSubject: Heath Slater and Brock Lesnar vs. CM Punk and Randy Orton   Heath Slater and Brock Lesnar vs. CM Punk and Randy Orton Empty9/12/2012, 4:45 am

TL;DR
Spoiler:

With all four men at the top of their mental game after heated promos from all sides, it was time to test their physical limits as the tag team match went underway. Lesnar and Slater came out to the ring yelling at the crowd, looking as arrogant as ever while CM Punk and Orton had their game faces on. The match began the way most matches do when they involve Brock Lesnar: total domination. Lesnar threw Orton and Punk around the ring as if they were ragdolls. Lesnar was on fire and Heath Slater, who could feel the adrenaline from seeing his foes in so much pain, wanted the tag.

As Brock tagged Slater in, the match was turned on its head. Punk and Orton each took turns laying waste to Slater while keeping him in their corner. Punk landed a GTS and Brock breaks up the pin. Slater makes the tag, and Lesnar lands an F-5 on Orton with Punk breaking up the pin. This pattern would go on for a solid forty minutes as neither team could summon the perfect storm of events that would lead to a finish. The match became a human highlight reel as amazing; OH MY GOD moments came almost back to back throughout the match.

We saw echoes of the promo from earlier as Orton lands an RKO on Slater and goes for the cover, with Slater amazingly kicking out at one. The wCw universe thought maybe Slater was right about the weakness of the RKO finisher. And as Slater sets Orton up for his Sweetness, the Viper reverses and lands a second RKO from out of nowhere and knocks Slater unconscious and as Orton slithers on to Slater for the win, Brock breaks up the pin and the match is forced to continue.

Later on, while Brock and Punk were battling in the ring, Punk lands his patented kick to the head on Lesnar, and Brock collapses. Punk then picks up the 6’3, 266 pound brute and lands a devastating GTS. As if they were thinking the same thing, Orton jumps over the ropes as Punk lands his finisher and tackles Slater who is desperately trying to save his partner. Punk goes for the cover. The match is over, one…,two…, AND BROCK GETS A SHOULDER UP! BROCK JUST WOKE UP FROM THE GO-TO-SLEEP! Brock gets up, lands what seemed like the two hundredth belly-to-belly suplex, and makes the tag to the One Man Band.

As Slater and Punk are at it once again, Slater actually gets some offense in for the first time in twenty minutes. Slater lands a running kick to Punk’s back and with confidence growing, attempts a springboard kick which fails miserably. With Punk back in control, he makes quick work of Slater and slams him to the ground. We are then witness to shades of Savage-Warrior at Wrestlemania 7 as CM Punk lands four Macho Man elbow drops back to back. One would think Slater would be able to get a reversal in time after the third elbow drop, but he surprises everyone by taking all four with no resistance whatsoever.

Finisher after finisher, break up after break up, the match showed no signs of ending. With no gas left in the tank and after taking his sixth RKO, Slater tags in Brock who can tell that, for better or for worse, the end is near for one team. Brock fights off both men single handedly doing his best to reverse the moves that are constantly coming his way. The constant attack by the two A-List superstars proves to be too much for Brock to handle however, as CM Punk lands the final GTS on Lesnar. As the One Man Band does his best to keep the match going, Orton lands a Lou Thez Press that keeps Slater down while Punk gets the victory.

How will Brock Lesnar take this loss going forward to No Mercy? Will he continue supporting his new play-thing Heath Slater? What excuses will the One Man Southern Rock Band make for his performance tonight?

Randy Orton seems to have proven a point to not only Michael Cole, but to Brock Lesnar, the man he will be facing for the Intercontinental Championship. Will the Viper have the same success in singles competition?

CM Punk has ended his losing streak in stunning fashion as he puts away Brock Lesnar in tag action. Is this confidence boost the medicine Punk needs in order to take on the United States Champion Chris Jericho?

Thanks for watching and we will see you next time!
